Job summary

General Dynamics NASSCO in Bremerton, WA, is seeking an HR Labor Relations Specialist to provide broad HR support on-site, covering employee/union labor relations, onboarding, and leave administration. The role partners with the HR Manager to ensure compliance with policies, labor agreements, and applicable laws to support operational success.

The position coordinates HR processes, supports investigations, and maintains confidential employee records while ensuring timely, professional service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Associate degree with equivalent education/experience may be considered.
• PHR/SHRM-CP or equivalent preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on HR policies, benefits, and leave administration.
• Assist with conflict resolution, investigations, and performance management.
• Assist with interpretation of collective bargaining agreements and grievance administration.
• Coordinate with HR Shared Services regarding HRIS transactions, benefits, payroll, and compliance.
• Maintain employee records in compliance with laws and company requirements.
• Advise employees and supervisors on HR policies and employment questions.
• Support investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management processes.
