Job summary

NiSource Inc. seeks a Senior Consultant to serve as a trusted advisor on labor and employee relations within a unionized environment. Responsibilities include interpreting CBAs, managing grievances, conducting investigations, and supporting labor negotiations to align with business objectives.

The role partners with leaders to promote positive employee relations, analyze data, assess risks, and deliver training and workforce interventions across multiple sites, including Staunton, VA.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting and administering CBAs, managing grievances, and conducting workplace investigations.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and labor regulations (NLRB, EEOC, DOL).

Responsibilities

• Interpret CBAs and administer labor relations processes in a unionized environment.
• Investigate disputes, support grievance processes, and prepare/arbitrate cases as needed.
• Draft MOUs/MOAs and advise leaders on labor relations matters.
• Track and report labor relations metrics and provide leader training on related topics.
