Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum seven years of employee and labor relations experience.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credentials preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.
  • Ability to understand organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, and compensation practices.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate employee relations issues and advise managers on organizational, employee, and labor relations.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; update HR policies as needed.
  • Provide guidance on policies, MOUs, manuals, and reporting; minimize risk.
  • Create and monitor workforce demographic dashboards with HRIS; run routine data audits.
  • Consult with management on performance, organizational, and leadership matters; conduct needs assessments.
  • Maintain a performance management program and framework for evaluating performance and rewards.
  • Stay current on HR trends, regulatory changes, and technology; communicate changes to upper management.
  • Serve as backup to the Director on employee and labor relations issues and concerns.
  • Conduct or oversee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
