Job summary

Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD seeks an experienced Employee & Labor Relations Manager (Contractual) to lead investigations, coach managers, and advise on organizational and labor relations matters.

The role monitors compliance with employment laws, develops policy guidance, creates workforce dashboards with the HRIS team, and supports performance management, discipline, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited college.
• At least seven (7) years of employee and labor relations experience.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credentials preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate employee relations issues and advise managers on solutions aligned with policies and laws.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; review and modify HR policies.
• Create and monitor quantitative reports to build workforce dashboards with the HRIS team.
• Lead performance management programs and conduct disciplinary matters when needed.
