Job summary

USI Insurance Services in Irvine is seeking a qualified analyst to analyze information and create financial deliverables for clients with standard to complex benefit programs. The role covers fully insured and self-funded plans for client sizes from 100 to 1,000 lives.

You will perform market reviews, renewal projections, and claims analysis, and develop plan modeling and cost-reduction opportunities. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in employee benefits or related field.
• High School diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain state Life & Disability insurance license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
• Ability to learn internal analytic systems and carrier reporting tools.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to handle complex tasks with many variables.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analytics for fully insured and self-funded clients (100–1,000 lives).
• Prepare standard analyses with some customization (market reviews, renewal projections, claims analysis).
• Develop analyses of rates, contributions, and funding.
• Create executive summaries with observations, conclusions, recommendations, and next steps.
• Communicate with carriers, request quotes, evaluate options, and prepare renewal plans.
• Maintain carrier relationships and review renewal illustrations.
• Produce client and carrier correspondence and participate in peer reviews.
