SCIENTIFIC APPLICATIONS & RESEARCH ASSOCIATES, INC. (SARA) is seeking an EMP Field Technician III–IV to support MIL-STD-188-125-1/2 HEMP testing in Colorado Springs, CO. This role involves RF/EM tests, fabrication, troubleshooting, and hands-on field activities with potential long deployments within CONUS/OCONUS.

You will lead portions of field and lab work, guide junior technicians, and ensure safety and quality during rapid manufacturing and testing across programs for DoD and DoE customers.

Qualifications

• Requires 5–7 years of relevant technician experience in electrical, mechanical, or field-test roles.
• Must be able to travel CONUS/OCONUS up to 40% and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform advanced engineering, fabrication, integration, and maintenance support within established technical direction.
• Lead lab and field test setup, execution, teardown, and restoration.
• Construct, modify, and test electrical/mechanical systems from drawings and procedures.
• Configure RF, electrical, and diagnostic instrumentation; verify readiness.
• Diagnose and resolve test setup problems; document deviations and lessons learned.
• Coordinate equipment inventories, calibration, packing, and field readiness.
