Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) seeks an EMP Field Technician I–II to support rapid manufacturing and testing in Colorado Springs, CO. You will assist with lab and field test setup, teardown, and equipment maintenance under supervision.

The role builds proficiency in EMP testing, E-H safety practices, and field operations, with travel up to 40% and occasional long hours on deployments. A high school diploma and basic mechanical/electrical skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 0-2 years of relevant technician experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% for testing.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to learn basic electrical/high-voltage safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide entry-level engineering, fabrication, and maintenance support under supervision.
• Assist with lab and field test setup, execution, teardown, and restoration.
• Construct, maintain, and test electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
• Assist with testing and modification of electronic systems using diagnostic tools.
• Document procedures, designs, and test results.
• Support project tests and travel as needed (CONUS/OCONUS).
• Operate box trucks to transport test equipment to locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
