Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Woodland Hills, CA, seeks a Senior EMI/EMC Test Engineer to lead the planning, setup, and execution of EMI/EMC testing for complex electronic systems. You will guide test configurations, analyze data, and drive root-cause resolution with cross-functional teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with MIL-STD-461/464, DO-160, and RF test equipment, plus mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, physics or related STEM field with 9+ years of experience; or Master's with 7+ years.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance (or higher) required.
Hands-on EMI/EMC testing experience on complex electronic systems.
Knowledge of MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, and/or DO-160 test methods.
Experience leading troubleshooting and resolving EMI/EMC test failures.
Willingness to work onsite full-time in Woodland Hills, CA.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, setup, and execution of EMI/EMC testing for complex electronic systems.
Define test strategies and oversee execution in EMI chambers and bench environments.
Operate and mentor others in oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, LISNs, and other EMI test equipment.
Lead data analysis, document non-compliances, and drive root-cause investigations.
Recommend design/mitigation changes to achieve EMI/EMC compliance.
Develop and approve EMI/EMC test procedures and reports.
Coordinate test readiness and lab activities with internal and external facilities.
