National Grid plc in Northboro, MA is hiring a Senior Program Manager for Emergency Planning. The role is hybrid and requires after-hours response and travel to other locations.

You will lead external resources, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure regulatory compliance within the Emergency Planning framework. Responsibilities include coordinating regional and national mutual assistance, overseeing contractor performance, and supporting audits and incident response with a focus on safety

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of emergency planning/management or utility experience.
• Ability to understand emergency management policies and challenge existing processes.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams managing complex program activities.
• Willingness to work outside normal business hours and travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Assist in long-term vision and execution, motivate cross-functional teams, and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Serve as SME on OHLERs contract and perform audits for compliance.
• Act as focal point for issue resolutions, track trends, and drive policy improvements.
• Develop and manage contractor performance KPIs and support improvement plans.
• Coordinate external team activity during emergencies and support NAMAG conferences.
• Support regional and national mutual assistance programs and acquisition requests during emergencies.
