Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead the New England Electric Major Projects team in Massachusetts. This hybrid role will manage multi-year electric capital construction projects, coordinate with engineers and partners, and drive safety, schedule, budget, and scope.

The position requires a strong background in project management within the electric utility sector, advanced scheduling tools (Primavera P6, Procore), and a track record of leading diverse teams toward

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with substantial project management experience.
10+ years in electric utility sector across PM, engineering, contracts, construction or operations.
10+ years of detailed project financial forecasting and reporting.
10+ years of coaching teams and developing employees.
10+ years of presenting to executives.
Experience with Primavera P6, Procore and PowerPlan.
MS Office, Power BI, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and MS Teams.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Lead teams of project managers, engineers and SMEs to drive capital construction projects.
Ensure safe delivery within budget, schedule and scope.
Drive risk management and governance across projects.
Lead siting, permitting, regulatory approvals and cost recovery.
Mentor junior project managers.
Provide emergency storm restoration support when needed.
