Job summary

Allina Health’s Buffalo Hospital seeks an Emergency Department Medical Technician Senior to join a 60-hour biweekly, 0.75 FTE team. Shift mix includes day/evening/night with a 30-hour week and every 3rd weekend rotation.

Under RN supervision, provide fast, compassionate care including phlebotomy, EKGs, wound care, and patient education. The role requires EMT/MDH/NREMT or CNA licensing, BLS, and the ability to work in a high‑acuity ED environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Within scope of position, independently provides patient care.
• Under RN direction, assists with wound dressings, oxygen, procedures, irrigations, restraints, backboard/c-collar.
• Plans and prepares for procedures; facilitates admissions, transfers and discharges.
• May handle medication setup, stocking, transport; may provide clerical support or serve as preceptor.
