Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role
• ACLS is required before the end of orientation
• PALS or ENPC is required before the end of orientation
• NIHSS certification before the end of orientation
• High school diploma or equivalent and ADN required

Responsibilities

• Administers care to a patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric and utilizes a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to ensure that each patient receives nursing care appropriate to his/her illness or injury.
• Prioritizes patient care needs based on the patient assessment and uses the nursing process to implement a plan of care appropriate to each patient’s needs.
• Delivers care consistent with the physician’s orders and treatment protocols and in accordance with hospital and departmental policy
