Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Huntsville, AL seeks an Engineering Specialist to provide Electromagnetic Environmental Effects support across DoD and civil space programs. You will review EMC analyses, serve as a technical authority, and contribute from concept through launch, including anomaly investigation and root-cause analysis.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related STEM field, 8+ years of experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related STEM.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant technical experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Electromagnetic Theory, Physics, and lab component/circuit characterization techniques.
• Fundamental knowledge of EMC, ESD, and TEMPEST design techniques.
• Willing to travel domestically up to 25%.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Electromagnetic Environmental Effects technical support to DoD and civil space programs.
• Review contractor EMC analytical and test reports.
• Act as trusted technical authority across lifecycle from concept to launch and anomaly investigation.
• Evaluate spacecraft and launch vehicle electrical/electronic designs for EM emissions and susceptibility.
• Mentor junior team members.
