Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Engineering Specialist to provide Electromagnetic Environmental Effects technical support for space programs, review EMC analyses, and guide designs through from concept to launch. The role requires a strong EM theory background, TEMPEST knowledge, and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field and 8+ years of relevant experience, with travel up to 25% and

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Electromagnetic Theory, Physics and lab component/circuit characterization techniques.
• Fundamental knowledge of EMC, ESD and TEMPEST design techniques.
• Willing to travel domestically up to 25%.
• This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Electromagnetic Environmental Effects technical support to DoD and civil/space programs.
• Review contractor EMC analytical and test reports.
• Serve as customer technical authority across lifecycle: design, requirements, validation, launch, and anomaly investigation.
• Evaluate spacecraft and launch vehicle electrical/electronic designs for emissions and susceptibility.
• Mentor junior team members and support leadership initiatives.
