Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Software Lead for the SLCM-N Tactical Supplier Management Team in Huntsville, AL. The role emphasizes hands-on C/C++ development for embedded, safety-critical systems and leadership of agile software teams across HWIL and simulation environments.

You will guide software engineering best practices, integrate complex software with hardware, and coordinate with customers and suppliers to meet nuclear surety, cyber, and certification requirements while delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience; or Master's and 10+ years; or PhD and 8+ years.
• U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret and SAP approvals.
• 5+ years of hands on C++ development for embedded, real time, or mission critical systems.
• Experience integrating and testing software with hardware in a lab or HWIL environment.
• Practical experience with MATLAB and Simulink for modeling, simulation, and/or algorithm support to implementation and verification.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum environments.
• Experience in system integration, verification, and validation on DoD or aerospace/defense programs.

Responsibilities

• Guide software development teams to apply best practices to deliver software artifacts meeting requirements.
• Lead design and integration of complex software for safety-critical systems.
• Develop C/C++ for embedded and real-time applications.
• Implement hardware interfaces and device drivers.
• Use MATLAB/Simulink to prototype and validate algorithms.
• Build and maintain automated tests and debug issues.
• Lead HWIL lab integration and scripted test execution.
• Develop HWIL test software and scripts.
• Analyze HWIL data to verify requirements and drive corrective actions.
• Represent the program as a prime technical contact and provide leadership.
