Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Largo, FL is seeking a Senior Embedded System Security Engineer to support DoD and international customers. You will help design security features, perform vulnerability assessments, and contribute to system certification and accreditation efforts.

The role requires a SECRET clearance, STEM degree, and hands-on security engineering experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work onsite with relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• A STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• ACTIVE and transferrable SECRET clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
• Direct experience in System Security Engineering and RMF for mission systems.
• Ability to write security documentation and analyze system models.

Responsibilities

• Support system certification and accreditation efforts (RMF ATO, NSA Type 1).
• Decompose, allocate, implement, and verify cybersecurity requirements.
• Analyze requirements to identify security vulnerabilities in models and diagrams.
• Participate in design discussions and provide security engineering input.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate security into system design.
• Maintain awareness of evolving threats and best practices.
• Contribute to security-focused verification, testing, and remediation analysis.
