Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, seeks a Principal Embedded System Security Engineer to support DoD and international programs. You will lead RMF ATO efforts, decompose security requirements, and coordinate across hardware, software, and test disciplines to protect critical embedded systems for aerospace applications.

The role requires active SECRET clearance, on-site work in Marlborough, MA, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, certifiable system designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in STEM with strong security engineering background.
• Active SECRET clearance required, U.S. citizenship.
• Experience with embedded/aerospace/defense security.
• RMF/DO- or DoD-style security certification experience.
• Ability to decompose requirements and allocate security controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead RMF ATO and NSA Type 1 Certification activities and document artifacts.
• Decompose requirements and allocate security across system architectures.
• Analyze requirements, models, interfaces to identify security risks and mitigations.
• Lead system design reviews and document security risks and actions.
• Integrate security requirements across engineering disciplines and track issues.
• Drive SV&V activities: test strategies, plans, procedures, conduct, results.
• Coordinate security engineering across multiple teams and resolve issues.
• Evaluate threats, technologies, and guidance for impact on architecture and certification.
• Provide technical direction and review security engineering outputs.
