Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Embedded System Security Engineer to support U.S. military and international programs. You will lead RMF/ATO activities, decompose security requirements, and ensure system-level cyber protection across engineering disciplines.

The role requires a strong background in embedded security for aerospace/defense and active security clearances. Onsite work with a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5 years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
• Active and transferable SECRET clearance required prior to start date.
• Experience leading cybersecurity or product security engineering for embedded/defense systems.
• Experience leading system verification and validation for security.
• Experience applying RMF processes to certification or assessment.
• Experience decomposing and allocating cybersecurity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead RMF Authorization to Operate (ATO) and NSA Type 1 Certification activities.
• Lead cybersecurity requirement decomposition, allocation, implementation, and verification.
• Perform system-level analysis to identify security vulnerabilities and establish mitigations.
• Lead security engineering in design reviews and document risks and actions.
• Coordinate cybersecurity across engineering disciplines; resolve security issues.
• Develop test strategies, plans, procedures, and verification results; remediation recommendations.
• Provide technical direction to other security engineers.
