Job summary

Astronics Corporation in Kent, WA is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop and bring up embedded systems and boards. The role requires strong proficiency in C/C++/C#, Python, Linux, device drivers and Ethernet networking.

You will mentor junior engineers, define architecture, and collaborate across hardware, software and test teams. The position offers onsite work with flexible start times and a base salary range of $111,000 to $150,000 plus incentive programs.

Qualifications

• BS in Software, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering; MS in lieu of experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in embedded systems and board bring-up.
• Proficiency in Linux OS and C/C++/C#/Python with networking knowledge (Ethernet).

Responsibilities

• Defines software/architecture for complex hardware and software systems.
• Writes, tests and debugs code; documents installation procedures.
• Mentors junior engineers and collaborates across hardware, software and test teams.
• Interacts with users to define system requirements and modifications.
• Contributes to multi-product architecture and standards.
