Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX seeks a Principal Software Security Engineer to join the Software Product Assurance team. You will develop security-centric embedded real-time sensor software using C/C++, collaborate with engineering teams, and ensure compliance with Product Assurance processes to deliver trusted solutions.

Ideal candidates have a STEM degree, 8+ years of software experience, and hands-on work with VxWorks or Embedded Linux. Security-focused leadership and DoD-relevant experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is required.
• 8+ years of relevant software experience.
• Experience with static analysis concepts, methods & tools.
• Embedded software security experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security principles for embedded real-time sensor software.
• Create and evolve software applications using C and C++ across platforms.
• Ensure Product Assurance processes are followed on programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet TDMC execution requirements.
