Metrea seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead design, development, testing, and debugging of embedded software. You will mentor juniors and drive best practices, collaborating with RF/hardware teams to resolve challenges.

Responsibilities include code reviews, performance analysis, and documentation of designs and tests. The role requires strong Python/C++ skills and a Linux environment to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development.
• Expertise in Python and C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading teams.
• Proficient with version control and software development best practices.
• Experience working in a Linux environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug software components for embedded systems.
• Lead or work with a team in designing and troubleshooting software components.
• Analyze and improve system performance as needed.
• Follow structured development processes, ensuring high‑quality, maintainable code.
• Participate in and lead code reviews, driving quality standards.
• Document designs, test plans, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Collaborate with RF/hardware engineers and cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
