Job summary

Epiq Solutions seeks a Senior Staff Embedded Software Engineer to advance embedded C/C++ drivers and libraries for SDR platforms. You will implement APIs and enhance configurations on embedded Linux, collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver hardware-ready software.

Responsibilities include designing features, estimating effort, improving tests, and mentoring engineers while contributing to CI/CD workflows and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, or related field.
• 5+ years in ARM-based Linux embedded development.
• Proficiency in C/C++ library and application development.
• Experience with Python for tooling and test automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows (Docker, Jenkins, Bitbucket).
• Memory-mapped I/O and hardware interface experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new radio features and hardware APIs.
• Decompose goals into detailed software components and interfaces.
• Estimate development efforts accurately.
• Promote best practices in design, testing, and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement across the lifecycle.
• Develop apps on embedded Linux using GCC, GDB, make/CMake, Docker, Jenkins.
• Expand automated test coverage with PyTest and RF test equipment.
• Mentor junior engineers and document interfaces.
