Job summary

BrightHire Search Partners seeks a Senior DSP Software Engineer to join a small embedded team focused on spectrum monitoring solutions. You will bridge RF knowledge with C++ on a Linux/Linux-Windows hybrid platform featuring FPGA offload.

The role involves hands‑on coding, architecture input, and collaboration with technical leadership across hardware variants. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in production C++, strong RF fundamentals, and an EE background (Master’s preferred).

Qualifications

• 6+ years of production C++ experience on large Windows codebases.
• Solid RF/spectrum fundamentals including receiver chains and DDC concepts.
• ITAR/government-related work; strict compliance; no sponsorship.
• Electrical Engineering background; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to translate requirements into robust implementations.
• Maintain and enhance a mixed legacy + new C++ codebase across Windows.
• Contribute to spectrum/signal processing workflows, including receiver chains.
• Develop platform-level software for multiple hardware variants and apps.
• Build internal test GUIs and tools; participate in architecture reviews.
• Provide senior-level design input while remaining hands-on with coding.
