Job summary

Pratt Miller, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Principal Engineer – Software to develop embedded software for on-vehicle applications. The Sr. Software Engineer will lead vehicle-level designs and integrate software written in C/C++, MATLAB autogenerated.

You will work with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive real-time systems research, RTOS, Autosar, edge computing and CI/CD practices across projects.

Qualifications

• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with five (5) or more years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in C/C++ for on-vehicle applications and lead vehicle-level designs.
• Coordinate software integration, verification, and validation in RTOS and Autosar environments.
• Mentor entry-level engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Lead feasibility studies, proposals, and estimates for advanced control projects.
• Support DevOps practices and CI/CD across software projects.
• Prepare and deliver design documentation, plans, and reports.
