Raytheon is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop and integrate real-time software for diverse military and commercial programs in El Segundo, CA. You will work closely with Systems Engineers to deliver robust solutions and modernize embedded systems using C++ on Linux/VxWorks and related RTOS environments.

The role emphasizes software lifecycle activities, DevSecOps practices, and collaboration within an Agile framework.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in C++ design paradigms on Linux or RTOS.
• Experience developing, testing, and integrating real-time C++ software.
• Scripting experience in Shell/Perl/Python.
• Active US government Secret clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Supports all phases of the software development life cycle within a multi-disciplined team, from concept to maintenance.
• Designs solutions and solves complex system/software integration problems.
• Collaborates with Systems Engineers to meet end-user and operational needs.
• May require occasional travel for business.
