Job summary

Raytheon in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join an onsite team. You will contribute across the software life cycle for military and commercial programs, from concept through integration and maintenance, working with a multi-disciplined group.

Candidates should have a STEM degree and 5+ years of embedded C++ experience on Linux or RTOS, plus scripting skills and the ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant embedded software experience.
• Experience in C++ on Linux, VxWorks or other RTOS.
• Scripting experience (Shell/Perl/Python) and ability to obtain/maintain a US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supports all aspects of the software development life cycle on multi-disciplinary programs.
• Develops, tests and integrates real-time C++ software applications.
• Collaborates with Systems Engineers to meet end-user needs.
• Occasional business-related travel may be required.
