Job summary

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control seeks a Software Engineer Sr to design, develop, and sustain software for precision aerospace and defense systems. You will work on embedded real-time software, HWIL environments, and cross-program initiatives across multiple platforms in a matrix organization.

Required DoD SECRET clearance, BS in engineering, and strong C/C++/Linux skills. On-site role with competitive benefits and growth within the MFC business area.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Active DoD SECRET clearance with investigation in the last 5 years.
• Experience with real-time embedded systems and HWIL.
• Proficiency in C/C++ (version 11 or higher).
• Proficiency in Linux and Real-Time Operating Environment.
• Experience integrating hardware and software.
• Hands-on experience with hardware testing or simulation systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop Embedded Software in C/C++ for real-time embedded systems.
• Integrate algorithms into C/C++ applications.
• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software for business/mission problems.
• Apply knowledge of hardware and software to develop software.
• Debug programs, prepare operating instructions, and analyze system capabilities.
