Job summary

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) seeks a Software Engineer Sr. Staff to design, develop, and integrate real-time embedded software for aerospace and defense systems. You will work across HWIL environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a matrix structure.

On-site in Dallas, TX, you will apply C/C++ (v11+), Linux RTOS, and hardware/software integration to deliver mission-critical solutions for U.S. and allied programs.

Qualifications

• Active DoD SECRET clearance with investigation in the last 5 years.
• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with real-time embedded systems hardware/software integration.
• Proficiency in C/C++ (version 11 or higher).
• Proficiency in Linux and Real-Time Operating Environments.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and integrating software solutions for real-time embedded systems, including hardware in the loop (HWIL) environments.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Develop Embedded Software in C/C++ (version 11 or higher)
• Integrate algorithms into C/C++ applications
• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.
• Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
• Correct program errors, prepares operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - Must have a Final Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications

• Must have Active DoD SECRET Clearance with investigation in the last 5 years
• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or related field
• The candidate must have previous HWIL experience working with real time embedded systems using both HW/SW
• Proficiency in C/C++ (version 11 or higher for C++)
• Proficiency in Linux systems and Real-Time Operating Environment
• Experience Integrating hardware and software
• Experience in real-time software generation, with hands-on experience related to hardware testing and/or embedded systems and/or a simulation systems

Desired Skills

• Ability to physically come on site in Dallas and work in labs to support integration
• Experience with low level software development /device drivers
• Experience working in cross-discipline/cross-functional teams
• MS or greater in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or related field
• Full software development life cycle experience

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $148300.00 - $275500.00
