Job summary

Boeing invites applications for an Application Software Engineer (Experience or Senior) to join the Phantom Works OASIS team in Berkeley, MO. You will design, develop, and maintain embedded software for defense systems, ensuring safety, standards compliance, and robust performance across lifecycles.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering/CS/physics or related fields with 3+ years of experience, active U.S. Secret clearance, and proficiency in C++, C#, Linux and Git.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or physics.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Active U.S. Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret & SAP.
• Proficiency in C++, C#, Linux; Git experience.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, open architectures, TCP/UDP, and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software across the lifecycle.
• Translate customer requirements into software designs, interfaces, and specs.
• Perform unit and integration testing to validate functionality and performance.
• Participate in peer code reviews to ensure quality and best practices.
• Support software system integration and testing within larger systems.
• Create comprehensive software documentation for maintenance and audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and optimize performance.
