Job summary

Curtiss-Wright is seeking a Sr Software Development Engineer for the Arlington Heights, IL area to design, document and test embedded software for safety-critical on-highway applications. You will collaborate with hardware and software engineers to deliver robust solutions.

The role requires strong C/C++ skills, automotive embedded experience, and familiarity with ISO21434 and ISO26262, with opportunities to interface with customers and contribute to new product development.

Qualifications

Requires Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree.
4–5 years of embedded software development experience.
Strong C/C++ proficiency and debugger usage.
Ability to develop embedded solutions for rapid prototyping and delivering quality embedded products.
Fast technical learner with multitasking and collaboration skills.
Experience in automotive embedded software and CAN bus; Doors experience a plus.
Automotive Cyber Security per ISO21434 and functional safety per ISO26262.
UDS implementation CAN Analyzer hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

Design and develop embedded software for safety-critical on-highway applications.
Document according to APQP / ASPICE standards.
Develop, execute, and document system test cases.
Collaborate with hardware and software engineers on new products and quotes.
Interface with customers.
