Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc is seeking a full-time Senior Embedded Software Engineer who will report to the Director of Software Engineering. The role involves developing software for radios and research projects, including drivers, networking, encryption, and security features.

A hybrid schedule requires at least 3 days onsite weekly (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays). The candidate will work on MAC/Routing protocols, network management tools, security, audio streaming, and Linux BSPs for ARM

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or relevant fields.
5+ years of embedded system software development experience.
Expertise in C programming and experience in Linux kernel driver development.

Responsibilities

Implement software for MAC and mobile ad-hoc networking routing protocols.
Develop network management software and web interface components.
Implement security protocols and encryption algorithms.
Develop audio streaming and push-to-talk voice applications.
Analyze and improve product security to meet standards like FIPS 140-3 and NIAP CC.
Develop testing software for product performance and reliability evaluation.
Create device drivers and BSPs for ARM and RISC-V systems.
Customize Linux systems and shell scripting.
