Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for a full-time, hybrid role in Los Angeles.

The engineer will contribute to radios and research projects, covering device drivers, networking, encryption, and security features, with on-site three days weekly (Mon/Wed/Thu). The role requires a BS in EE/CS, 5+ years embedded C and Linux kernel experience, and ability to work across MAC, networking, and security domains, including regulatory standards like

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or relevant fields.
5+ years of relevant embedded system software development experience.
Expertise in C programming and experience in Linux kernel driver development.

Responsibilities

Implementation of software portion of MAC and mobile ad-hoc networking routing protocols.
Network management software and web interface implementation.
Implementation of different security protocols and encryption algorithms.
Audio streaming and push to talk voice application implementation.
Analyze and improve product security and robustness to meet regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST FIPS 140-3, NIAP).
Device driver and BSP development/maintenance for ARM and RISC-V systems.
Linux system customization and scripting.
