Job summary

General Motors is seeking an experienced Integration/Software Engineer to plan, lead and execute SDV2.0 MCU software content and timing for releases. You will define priorities for builds, testing, and validation, and document plans for internal/external teams.

You will also lead software verification activities, develop ADV plans, obtain leadership approvals, and promote best practices to shorten lead times while delivering high-quality software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in Integration/Software/Controls engineering.
• Experience with software integration, CI, CD, and DevOps.
• Experience with tooling, infrastructure solutions and automated testing.
• Project management experience.
• Programming in C, C++, and Assembly.
• Scripting with Perl and Python.
• Experience with Unix, Linux, and RTOS for embedded systems.
• Instrumentation including INCA, emulators, and dSpace.
• Git and build tools using Jenkins and eflow.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute software content and timing for SDV2.0 MCU releases.
• Lead software content development and timing for new controllers.
• Set priorities for builds, testing, and validation; document in the software delivery plan.
• Lead and document software verification and validation plans (ADV).
• Obtain approvals from leadership; drive issue resolution and improvements.
• Foster best practices to reduce development lead time and improve quality.
• Adhere to GM hybrid work policy: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote.
