Job summary

General Motors in Warren, Michigan is recruiting software developers to join a hybrid, agile team responsible for in-house tooling and SDV architectures. You will contribute to Java-based modelling tools and automation scripts supporting ECU interfaces and vehicle controller development.

You’ll design middleware code generation, manage Jenkins pipelines for CI/CD, and provide SME guidance across business teams while maintaining tooling release processes for GM internal users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in automotive industry.
• Proficiency with Java.
• Knowledge of SDV AUTOSAR methodologies.
• Experience with open-source tooling (Git, GitHub, Jenkins, JIRA).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-change environment.

Responsibilities

• Software developer for an agile scrum team responsible for in-house Java-based Rhapsody modelling tool for SDV2 architecture.
• Design and implement middleware code generation to support controller builds.
• Manage and implement Jenkins pipeline for automated generation of CI/CD artifacts.
• Manage and perform smoke testing for tooling capabilities supported every program increment.
• Maintain evaluation and production tools release process to GM internal users.
• Develop and test Java scripts for automation of software and system models per GM standards.
• Act as SME to identify, design, and implement workflow modifications with multiple business teams.
• Provide support in analyzing and resolving user issues related to serial data and diagnostics communication between ECUs.
