Ritchie Engineering Co., Inc. in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the planning, design, and development of HVAC and refrigeration tools, machines, and accessories for both new products and improvements to current designs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or Computer Science and 8 years of embedded firmware and mobile/desktop app development experience, with strong leadership and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 8 years of embedded firmware and mobile/desktop application development experience.
• Ability to communicate technical information in a presentation setting.
• Knowledge of lean principles.
• Proficiency in UWP, Visual C++, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET.
• Experience coding/testing for Android and iPhone applications.
• Full product software lifecycle experience.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Leads other engineers in design of tools and machines; acts as project lead on select initiatives.
• Evaluates progress and results of projects they lead.
• Owns project-level goals with multiple engineers; breaks down tasks into milestones.
• Mentors junior engineers and provides technical leadership.
• Develops production-ready documentation from initial rough designs.
• Supports new production development and participates in design reviews and stage gates.
• Interviews, onboarding, time approval, and performance reviews for direct reports.
