Ursa Major is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain the software powering our engines, vehicles, and avionics systems. You will join a small, high-impact team building flight software at the cutting edge of reliability, safety, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional embedded C/C++ development experience.
• Hands-on hardware interfacing with timers, interrupts, protocols, ADCs.
• Proficient in reading schematics and debugging with hardware tools.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software for avionics throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain ground support software tools and systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define and deliver new software features.
• Document designs, code, and procedures to ensure maintainability and compliance.
• Debug, optimize, and support software and hardware integration efforts.
