Job summary
Vantage Elevation is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer IV in Sacramento to design, develop, and maintain embedded software for elevator control systems. You will work autonomously on advanced projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide technical leadership across product development, testing, manufacturing, and field support.
Requirements include a BS in a technical field and 7+ years in real-time embedded software, with strong C/C++ skills, RTOS, and device drivers.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Computer/Electrical/Software Engineering or equivalent
- 7+ years in real-time embedded software/firmware engineering
- Strong C and C++ proficiency with hardware interaction
- Experience with RTOS and device drivers
- Ability to lead reviews and guide teams
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, test, and maintain embedded software for elevator control systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software, firmware, and hardware issues
- Collaborate across electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and field teams
- Provide technical leadership on high-visibility projects
- Review test plans and ensure code quality and coverage
