Job summary

Vantage Elevation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead embedded software development for elevator control systems. You will design, implement, test, and improve real-time software in C/C++ and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and reliability.

The role demands a passion for solving complex technical challenges, strong communication, and mentoring junior engineers in an on-site, engineering-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of real-time embedded software experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with C and C++ programming.
• Experience with embedded real-time operating systems.
• Familiarity with revision control systems such as Git.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Experience leading small projects and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and maintain embedded software in C/C++.
• Troubleshoot and debug software and hardware.
• Collaborate with Field Service, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams.
• Work with electrical and mechanical teams during product development.
• Perform functional testing of software updates.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide coding standards.
• Support continuous improvement of design processes.
