Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Sr Staff Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded software and firmware across complex systems. The role emphasizes MB engineering processes, DevSecOps, and Agile practices within an enterprise-wide transformation.

The successful candidate will lead with strong code skills in C++, experience with Linux or VxWorks, and a track record across the full software lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or related field with 14+ years of engineering experience, or Master’s/PhD with reduced experience, or equivalent years.
Object Oriented Programming in C++.
Experience developing embedded software for Linux or VxWorks.
US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, operate, and maintain embedded software and firmware components.
Apply standards, processes, and tools across the life cycle to support engineering applications.
Interface with customers, suppliers, and users for requirements and support.
Collaborate with teams to deliver robust, secure embedded solutions.
