Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to contribute to design, development, integration, verification, and release of avionics display software and frameworks. You will lead feature decomposition, coordinate development, and support customer-driven solutions.

The role reports to the Sr Software Engineering Manager and is based in Phoenix with a hybrid schedule. 100% onsite for the first 90 days is required for new hires.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (engineering/science/math).
• 5+ years in software development, product development and systems/software integration in embedded/real-time/regulatory environments.
• 5+ years hands-on C++ in embedded/real-time systems (DEOS/RTOS or equivalent).
• Experience designing software architectures, OO design, algorithms and lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute software activities to meet requirements, quality, schedule, and certification.
• Analyze, develop, manage requirements, feature implementation and technical coordination.
• Design, develop, integrate, maintain, test, debug, and verify avionics display software and frameworks.
• Support build, integration, release, and delivery while meeting cert requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support development and customer acceptance.
• Communicate progress, status, risks, and corrective actions to stakeholders and customers.
• Drive process improvements and provide technical leadership and mentoring.
