Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer II for our Flight Management System team in Phoenix, AZ. You will work in a fast paced, collaborative environment with experienced software and systems engineers on a program delivering advanced avionics solutions.

Reporting to the Sr Software Engr Manager, this hybrid role requires 90 days onsite initially. You must be eligible to work in the United States and relocation support may be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience with strong C++ or object‑oriented programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core flight management software supporting next‑generation avionics systems.
• Implement high quality software solutions that meet performance, security, and reliability requirements.
• Participate in requirements and code reviews, contributing ideas that improve software quality and development practices.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, test, and certification teams to deliver integrated software solutions.
• Support software integration, testing, and debugging in laboratory environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects across the development and integration lifecycle.
• Continually grow your technical skills while applying industry standards and aerospace best practices.
• Relocation support may be provided.
