Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to join our avionics displays team. You will contribute to design, development, integration, verification, and release of software features for avionics displays, algorithms, and frameworks.

The role involves coordinating with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure compliance and successful delivery. You will lead feature decomposition, drive development activities, and mentor early-career engineers while helping improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 5 years of software development experience in embedded, real-time, or regulated environments.
• 5 years of hands-on C++ development in embedded/real-time systems.
• Experience designing software architectures and lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute software engineering activities to meet technical, quality, schedule, certification, and customer requirements.
• Analyze, develop, and manage software and system requirements and feature implementation.
• Design, develop, integrate, maintain, test, and verify avionics display software and algorithms.
• Support build, integration, release, and delivery activities with certification requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and customer acceptance.
• Communicate progress, risks, and corrective actions to stakeholders and customers.
• Drive continuous improvement and mentor engineers.
