Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to develop and test the next-generation autonomous driving platform. You will design, implement, and validate stand-alone embedded applications to power Rivian’s autonomy stack and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the onboard software.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years’ experience in embedded development on Linux/RTOS, strong C/C++ skills, and familiarity with GoogleTest and debugging tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Embedded software development on Linux and RTOS environments.
• Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
• Experience with unit tests using GoogleTest.
• Familiarity with embedded development tools and debuggers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded software for Rivian's autonomous driving platform.
• Develop application software on Linux and RTOS Embedded platforms.
• Collaborate with BSP team to bring-up sensor hardware.
• Test and integrate software into Rivian vehicles.
• Create documentation for software designs, interfaces and testing procedures.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate functionality and safety.
