Job summary

Rivian is seeking an engineer for the Autonomy Data Collection and Prototyping team in California. You will deploy robust Linux environments, manage UDS-based vehicle communication, and lead data acquisition from radars, lidars, cameras, GNSS/IMU.

You will develop on-vehicle tooling UIs for test fleets, and work with SW, Data Science, and Hardware teams. This onsite role includes cross-location collaboration with Rivian teams nationwide and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE/SE or related field.
• 2+ years in software, embedded, or systems engineering with Linux and automotive hardware focus.
• Linux deployment proficiency in embedded/edge environments with diagnostics.
• Strong knowledge of automotive protocols including UDS, CAN/CAN-FD, and Ethernet.
• Deep ADAS sensor experience (Lidar/Radar/Camera) with GNSS/IMU and time sync.
• HMI/UI development experience for engineering tools (mobile/embedded/desktop).
• Networking skills (TCP/IP, UDP, PTP/gPTP) and high-speed data debugging.
• Programming in Python and C++ for high-performance components.
