Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced embedded security engineer to design and implement security solutions for next‑generation automotive platforms. You will translate high‑level security requirements into scalable, secure embedded designs and collaborate with systems engineering to ensure feasibility in embedded environments.

You will work with cybersecurity teams to define platform‑level security components, perform unit and integration testing, and drive end‑to‑end delivery on aggressive timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent education/experience.
• 10+ years of embedded systems development experience.
• Strong hands-on Embedded C as primary development language.
• Proven track record building security into shipped embedded products.
• Experience in Linux-based embedded environments.
• Designing and implementing embedded security solutions (platform-level security, secure services, key provisioning).
• Ability to work in early-stage prototypes and ambiguous environments.
• Collaborative with systems engineering, cybersecurity, and test teams.
• Git for source control and Jira for work tracking.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded security solutions for automotive platforms.
• Translate requirements into scalable embedded architectures.
• Collaborate with systems engineering to refine feasibility.
• Define and implement security architectures and platform components.
• Support validation activities, including test case development.
• Build and integrate components end-to-end.
• Develop and optimize embedded software using Embedded C.
• Perform unit testing and participate in system/integration testing.
• Manage day-to-day development with Git and Jira.
• Contribute to secure services, key provisioning workflows, and cryptographic operations.
• Troubleshoot issues in Linux-based embedded environments.
• Deliver production-level code on aggressive timelines.
