Job summary

Argotec in California is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to lead the development of the UST-Lite SDR stack. You will design and implement embedded C/C++ software for LEON3 softcore processors, develop autoboot mechanisms for FPGA initialization, and integrate SpaceWire and other interfaces.

You will own software integration and debugging, collaborate with FPGA and QA teams, and define requirements traceability.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in embedded software development or related roles.
• Experience with LEON3 softcore processors and SpaceWire protocols is highly desirable.
• Must have strong C/C++ programming skills for embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded C/C++ software for LEON3 on FPGA/SoC platforms.
• Architect autoboot mechanisms for FPGA/LEON softcore initialisation.
• Develop SDR software for radio hardware configuration and control.
• Collaborate with FPGA engineers for IP integration and interfaces.
• Define commands, telemetry, and configuration mechanisms for SDR modes.
• Test and integrate SpaceWire cores and protocols in FPGA environments.
• Set up Linux build environments and cross-compilation toolchains.
• Own software/firmware integration and system bring-up.
