Job summary

Argotec S.r.l. in La Mirada, CA seeks an Electrical Engineer II to support hardware design for the UST-Lite SDR and the full lifecycle of spaceflight electronics. You will design circuits, run simulations, perform reliability analyses, and collaborate with systems, FPGA and software teams.

Responsibilities include system-level trade studies, PCB outputs, DFM coordination, part procurement, test planning, and hands-on debugging during integration, with design reviews such as PDR and CDR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in designing spaceflight electronic hardware.
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency required.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer and configuration management tools.
• Experience with reliability analyses (WCA, PSA, radiation).
• Experience with time-domain and frequency-domain simulations (LTspice, Si Wave, HFSS).
• Knowledge of PCB materials, stack‑ups, and SMT limits.
• Familiarity with NASA EEE‑INST‑002 or equivalent standards.
• Experience with qualification and environmental testing.
• Proficiency with lab instruments (oscilloscopes, VNAs, spectrum analyzers).
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support hardware design for the UST-Lite SDR and the lifecycle of spaceflight electronics.
• Design circuits, run simulations, and perform reliability analyses.
• Generate PCB fabrication outputs and assembly drawings; coordinate with manufacturing for DFM.
• Develop test plans, execute tests, and verify performance against requirements.
• Produce detailed design documentation and perform hands-on debugging during integration.
• Participate in design reviews (PDR, CDR).
