Job summary

Amazon Industrial Robotics is seeking exceptional talent to help develop the next generation of advanced robotics systems that will transform automation at Amazon's scale. You will work on systems combining AI, control systems, and mechanical design to create adaptable automation solving complex tasks alongside humans.

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and refine robotic software, writing automated tests and debugging live

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
• 4+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of development experience in C or C++ within an embedded environment or with some aspect of robotic systems.
• Deep understanding of Hardware-In-the-Loop methodology, experience with Matlab, and Simulink Real Time.

Responsibilities

• Learn and master components including networking/Wi-Fi, safety systems, and a variety of sensors.
• Lead the architecture of complex systems and support junior coworkers; explain progress to non-technical leaders.
• Work on the edge of the technological frontier, developing novel solutions and taking measured risks when necessary.
• As an Embedded Software Engineer, collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and debug modern robotic systems.
• Design discussions, brainstorming novel approaches, and implementing new product concepts and features; write automated tests and conduct live testing when needed.
