Infleqtion seeks a seasoned embedded systems engineer to join our quantum computing hardware effort in the Louisville area. You will collaborate across disciplines to deliver robust RTL/firmware for quantum applications, using Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL and SpinalHDL in a Linux environment.

You should have 8+ years in embedded hardware/software, strong debugging skills, and experience with HDL design, RTL, and software tooling like Git and CI pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related field and 8+ years of experience.
• Expertise with Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL.
• Experience in Linux development environment and scripting (Python, bash).
• Strong communication and teamwork; ability to share information with technical and non-technical staff.
• Familiarity with software engineering disciplines: testing, revision control, documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across electrical, software, and opto-mechanical domains for embedded systems.
• Develop testable RTL using SpinalHDL.
• Support tuning and troubleshooting in lab/test bench environments.
• Architect processing chains with analytical models to meet design requirements.
• Adopt modern software engineering practices including CI pipelines and automated builds.
• Participate in design, code, and data reviews.
