Job summary

Infleqtion is seeking engineers to advance atom-based quantum technologies, focusing on embedded system solutions and high-performance HDL design. You will work with physicists and engineers across disciplines to deliver scalable, robust RTL implementations using SpinalHDL, in a fast-paced startup environment in Madison, WI.

The role emphasizes collaboration, hands-on lab work, and applying best software practices while growing technical expertise in quantum applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field and 8+ years of experience.
• Expertise with Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL and RTL design.
• Proficiency in Linux and scripting (Python, Bash).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical teams.
• Experience with software engineering practices: version control (Git), testing, documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicists and across electrical, software, and opto-mechanical engineering to deliver embedded solutions for quantum applications.
• Develop testable, performant RTL using SpinalHDL.
• Tuning and troubleshooting in lab and test bench environments.
• Architect processing chains with supporting analytical models to meet design requirements.
• Apply modern software engineering practices to ensure robustness and maintainability, including CI pipelines and automated builds.
